Who we are

Tall Tales LLC is a children's literacy and storytelling platform based in Fort Collins, Colorado. We take the privacy of your family seriously, especially as a platform designed for young children.

What we collect

We collect your name and email address when you sign up. We collect voice recordings and story text created during the app experience. We collect basic usage data such as stories created, features used, and session activity to improve the service.

What we do not collect

We do not collect precise location data. We do not build behavioral advertising profiles. We do not collect any data beyond what is necessary to operate Tall Tales.

COPPA — children under 13

Tall Tales accounts are created and managed by parents or legal guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All data associated with a child's stories is controlled by the parent account holder.

How we use your data

We use your data to create and deliver your stories, send account and service notifications, and improve the Tall Tales experience. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share it with advertisers under any circumstances.

Voice recordings

Voice recordings are processed by our AI pipeline solely to generate story text and audio. Recordings are stored securely and are never shared, sold, or used to train AI models. You may delete any recording or story at any time from within the app.

Third party services

Tall Tales uses trusted third-party services to operate, including Google (authentication), ElevenLabs (voice synthesis), and cloud infrastructure providers. Each is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not permit these services to use your data for their own purposes.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or full deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@talltalesapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you delete your account, all associated data including stories and voice recordings will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before any material changes take effect.
